When representing a client in any of the authorized areas, a Licensed Paralegal can provide the following legal services:

  • Give legal advice concerning legal interests, rights or responsibilities with respect to a proceeding or the subject matter of a proceeding.

  • Draft or assist with drafting documents for use in a proceeding.

  • Negotiate on behalf of a person who is a party to a proceeding.

  • We can provide Process Serving, Court Filing and Skip Tracing.

  • After receiving your order for service, we serve the document on the respondents, complete an Affidavit of Service (AOS) immediately and file it (if required) in the specified court.

  • Commissioner for Oaths & Taking Affidavits: 

    • A Commissioner of Oaths is a person who is authorized by the Province of Ontario to take an oath when you sign an affidavit or statutory declaration. They are given this authority by the Commissioners for Taking Affidavits Act. The Commissioner is not responsible for the content of the affidavit.

  • Notary Public - To Be Provided.

    • In Ontario, the practice of notarizing is governed by the Notaries Act (the “Act”)

    • A notary public has all the powers of a commissioner for taking affidavits in Ontario, and can also witness or certify, and attest, the execution of a document, and certify and attest documents to be true copies of the original (ss. 3(1) and 4(1) of the Act).
